Social Integration

To address the stress associated with the immigrant experience, ReCrea provides camp residents access to psychologists, social workers, lawyers, doctors, and special education teachers.

A Women’s Circle addresses the prevention and reduction of gender-based violence.

Kinesthetic, sensory and cognitive therapy is available for children with disabilities and is complemented with psychological support for their mothers.

A community dining room provides free meals and a safe place for mothers to bond while cooking, socializing, and network building.

Other social integration programs include leadership training; parenting classes that teach nonviolent, nurturing parenting skills; and sports and cultural recreation programs for youth.
